Dan has a unique background in Journalism and Computer Science. After
graduation from the University of Michigan with a BA in computer science,
Dan spent six years as programmer and consultant. He then attended
the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and graduated
with an MS in Journalism in 1989. For six years Dan worked as a reporter
at The Record of Hackensack in New Jersey and the Raleigh News and Observer
in North Carolina. Dan then returned to the technology field working at
Time Inc. New Media, TheStreet.com, and CapitalThinking.
During this experience Dan has developed skills as a writer, technology
analyst, and marketer of technology. His relevant experience includes:
- Numerous articles in trade publications
- Three books
- White Papers such as this one about data standards in commercial real estate.
